Burn

May the love be eternal,
May the pain be internal,
When I see my reflection,
May the scars be external.

Jashn Aur Matam

Tera jashn akelepan ka marham hogaya,
Tera laparwah mizaj is dil ka matam hogaya.

Happens By Itself

Akelepan ki aadat,
Adhuri mohabbat ki adaalat,
Pooch ke nahi hoti,
Teri bewafai ki waqaalat.

Fitoor

Zehen se kabool hua,
Jism ka ghuroor hua,
Zameer ke khilaaf hokar,
Teri chahat ka fitoor hua.

Society

"What's the problem?" They ask.
If I could, I would
summarize it in a short phrase.
If I could, I would
capture the gist and present it in a way
that answers this rhetoric
for once and for all.
"What's the problem?" They ask.
How do I explain the enormity
of this conflict named modern love.
How do I eloquently extract
the discrepancy of the concept
of a hopeless romantic being
thrusted into this "swipe" culture.
A quick glance at a portrait
is to serve as grounds for interest.
These grounds are shaky
without any hope for escape in sight.
"So, what's the problem?" They ask.
Are they capable of swallowing
the magnitude of this heart's desire
to find that old-fashioned charm
that creates life-long magic?
"What's the problem?" They ask.
After much contemplation
I stand up and say to them,
"You are my problem."
